We are proud to introduce our newest wine infused tea, the Pink Sonoma!
Thoroughly saturated with the flavor of a light cabernet, Pink Sonoma is based on the sweetness of a strong white tea. We have given this base a powerful floral aroma and body by adding a good measure of rose petals, as well as a light touch of jasmine. Try steeping Pink Sonoma in boiling water for a little over two minutes, at a ration of one teaspoon tea leaf each five ounces of water.
This cabernet infused tea is one of our most popular flavors for its unique taste and excellent flavor.

New post
Steeping instructions:
Amount of Water: 6 oz
Amount of Tea: 1 Flat teaspoon
Water Temperature: 180° F
Steeping Time: 4-8 Minutes.
Note: Do not use boiling water for Green and White teas as they will burn and create bitter flavors.
A good way to guess water temperature without a thermometer is to bring the water to a boil, and wait about 30 seconds (for White tea) or 60 seconds (for Green tea) before pouring over the leaves.
This is incredible! The scent of this is stunning! Very floral with a hint of sweetness – almost a fruit. It’s a true white tea in color and taste but the floral tones are perfect. There is no aftertaste. It’s soothing. Very nice. Thirst quenching, comforting and lovely. I really didn’t think I would like this tea as much as I do… It was the shock of the day for me! This made it a great tea-day!

After trying Red Leaf Tea's Champagne Infused White Raspberry Tea and loving it, I was excited to sample this Pink Sonoma, which is a wine infused white tea. The wine of choice is a light cabernet. While the dry leaves of the champagne infused blend have an aroma that grabs you and commands your attention, the Pink Sonoma's dry leaves are a bit more reserved. They do smell like grapes and even a bit like wine. In all, it smells delicious. While I had some reservations about the suggested brewing parameters for this blend, I followed Red Leaf Tea's advice and infused the leaves in boiling water and infused for a bit over 2 min. However, my reservations were for naught because the cup is exquisite. The flavor profile is not unlike that of the champagne infused blend. However, this blend is possibly more balanced in terms of the white tea and the flavor profile. The white tea is of a very nice quality and this also tastes fairly grapey. Despite the addition of rose petals and jasmine, this is floral, but not not overly floral, and I could taste neither rose nor jasmine in this blend as a stand-alone ingredient. The white tea is a just slightly dry, but maybe not as much as you might expect from a wine infused tea blend. While I cannot say that this tastes strongly like wine, it does leave a wine-like aftertaste in your mouth at certain temperatures. This truly is an elegant and delicious cup that I suspect that wine lovers and tea lovers alike would enjoy. If you are looking for something with a nice splash of grape and some floral notes, then I would suggest picking up some of this Pink Sonoma. While my personal favorite remains the Champagne Infused blend, I would bet that a number of folks would prefer this quieter, gentler version. However, I would warn not to order this expecting a white wine flavored tea because this doesn't exactly deliver that. That said, if you like grapes and some subtle wine nuances, then I do not think that you can go wrong here. Sadly, at the time of this review, Red Leaf Tea has changed their free shipping on orders of any size to free shipping on orders over $40. I hope that they change it back!

This is an extremely beautiful, strongly floral white tea from Red Leaf Tea. The key word here is floral. From the aroma of the dried leaves, to the flavor of the brewed tea, this is a heavily floral brew, with roses being at the forefront of the sensory assault. While roses do figure heavily in this blend, jasmine also has very distinct notes here. These floral notes dominate the more subtle notes of the white tea. Myself, I’m not very familiar with wine at all, and never really drink it, so I can’t say if this tea is reminiscent of a cabernet or not; however it has a slight sour note in the background that gives this a light twist. Now, while I’m going to state that the phrase “strong white tea” is an oxymoron if ever there was one, I will also state that this is one of the higher quality white tea leaves I’ve seen. Best served hot with no added sweetener or cream, as these would easily overwhelm this blend. If you know you love floral and feminine teas, this is a fantastic and uniquely blended tea.

This is delicious. It took me a bit to get into this, because the flavor is not as pronounced as the raspberry, but it is very light, a bit fruity, it honestly does make you think of a white zin, a rose, a light cab wine. I am not sure the taste itself matches up in the same way the chardonnay one does, but regardless, I actually like this one more because it has a more elusive flavor profile that makes you think.
This has an interesting smell, too. You can really smell that light wine aroma when you smell the tea, and the taste comes through nearly exactly as it smells. I honestly think I may end up buying some of this, though white tea is not something I usually purchase. Very pleasant, mild, complex flavor combined with really smooth and delicious, sweet white tea. While I usually recommend drinking white teas iced, I don't think I'd do this with Pink Sonoma. I think the fact that it's hot or warm makes the flavor even more interesting.
This is a really fantastic blend. As I've said before, I fail to be disappointed by Red Leaf Tea's variety, and these wine-infused teas are incredible...this is my favorite thus far. VERY unique, delicate and refreshing.

The scent of this is stunning! Very floral with a hint of sweetness – almost a fruit – but slight. It’s a true white tea in color and taste but the floral tones are perfect and yummy. No aftertaste. Soothing. Very nice. Thirst Quenching. Comforting. Lovely.

I do like this tea. It is both sweet and tangy, with a pronounced grapiness as it cools. Nice floral overtones. Really nice tea
