We have created a unique tea blend that brings together the finest green tea with rosemary and sage to create a robust herbal brew, and we've sweetened this blend with lemon and rose petals. Enjoy this fine mixture of vital flavors, all designed to quickly bring invigorating, heathy nutrients to every system in your body.

Steeping instructions:
Amount of water: 6 oz
Amount of Tea: 1 Flat teaspoon
Water Temperature: 160° F
Steeping Time: 1-3 minutes.
Note: Do not use boiling water for Green and White teas as they will burn and create bitter flavors.
A good way to guess water temperature without a thermometer is to bring the water to a boil, and wait about 30 seconds (for White tea) or 60 seconds (for Green tea) before pouring over the leaves.
This is a very distinctive tea. I could smell the rosemary and sage the moment I opened the package, and that aroma intensified as the tea began to brew. Such a savory fragrance!
The green tea base is fresh and slightly vegetative, which lends itself well to the herbal flavors of the rosemary and sage. The touch of lemon further accents the savory taste of this cup, and the contrast of the sweet yet sharp flavor of rose makes this one of the more interesting green teas I’ve ever encountered.
The tea is wonderfully restorative. I just came back from a rather vigorous walk, and this tea seems to bring me back to life!
I previously reviewed this tea, but, a really good tea such as this one deserves revisiting… or perhaps I should say, you owe it to yourself (and I owe it to myself) to revisit these delicious teas! They are worth it… and so are we!
This tea is good. I wouldn't say it's amazing; but it's refreshing, ever-s0-slightly fruity, and the green tea is delicious. It is not very sweet, which is ok for this blend of herbal ingredients. The green tea leaves are rolled, bunched, and the dried tea has a unique appearance. The combination of two flavors: namely rose, and lemon create a delicious pair when added to this green tea. I really don't have much else to say about this. It's okay. It's plain, but has enough flavor to be marginally amusing. I don't usually find green tea with this selection of herbs (especially rose) so it's unique in that sense. It's certainly not a favorite, but delicate, sweet and refreshing.

Fresh Herb smell underneath a lemon scent is what this smells like right out of the package!
While it’s ‘brewing’ it smells like lemon and flowers.
Post infusion smells and tastes like flowers and lemon. As it cools the lemon comes out a little bit more to taste. This is a nice juicy type green tea. Not bad at all.

I really enjoy this tea. It has a wonderful, restorative quality to it… after a long walk around the neighborhood taking my daughter out to trick-or-treat, this tea is my TREAT!

"We have created a unique tea blend that brings together the finest green tea with rosemary and sage to create a robust herbal brew, and we've sweetened this blend with lemon and rose petals." ---Red Leaf Tea website.
It just so happened that a day or two before requesting more samples from Teaviews, I went to Papa Vino's and had this salad that had this delicious Sweet Basil Salad Dressing on it. I wish I had some of that salad now. Mmmmm. I'm hungry. Anyway, after enjoying that salad, I began to want to try teas that had herbs in them. I have actually had a few, but not ones that really rocked my world. Thus, I decided to take a chance on this after noting that it has both rosemary and sage in it.
For whatever reason, when this one arrived it got passed over for review a number of times because there was always something else that caught my attention. It had been a stretch since I had last been out to the Red Leaf Tea website to review the ingredients when I opened up my sample package, so I was a little taken by surprise to find that the most dominating aroma coming from the dry sample was that of rose petals! I must confess that I am not the world's biggest fan of overly floral and rose dominated teas. However, being curious about the contribution that the herbs might bring to the blend, I proceeded with anticipation. Also, I know that just because a dry blend smells mostly like one ingredient is no guarantee that ingredient will be the dominating one in the brewed cup.
I followed the brewing parameters suggested on the Red Leaf website and used water brought to 160 degrees and infused the leaves for 2 min. The ingredients in this include green tea, rosemary, sage, safflowers, and rose petals with lemon. Rose petals with lemon are listed as the last ingredient, which usually implies that they are the ingredient least used in the blend. Further, my sample contains just a couple rose petals, but I would still have to say that a mellow rose flavor dominates the blend. Mellow for rose petals that is. I found this particular pairing of herbs to be somewhat unique as I have not come across them together in any other teas, but they do not seem to add much flavor to the cup. I would, however, say that I feel that they somehow contributed to this blend being refreshing. I really couldn't pinpoint the lemon in the flavor profile but I did sense a touch of fruitiness. The green tea used is rather mild and has really no vegetal or grassiness to it.
If you like blends that are really unique and refreshing, then this is one that you should give a shot----IF you like rose in teas. This is not an overly in-your-face rose tea, but the rose did take centerstage. As someone who is not a big fan of rose teas, I don't think that this is one that I would buy. However, I did enjoy the way that the herbs made this extra refreshing and thought that the green tea used in the blend was pretty good.
